This is why we have come up with a simple range of Volkswagen Racing Performance Upgrade packs that will ensure that you will end up with a car that is optimised to your own requirements, and offers the best value for your money.

The packs work as follows: 

► Stage 1 suits drivers who want a ‘fast road’ upgrade that improves the performance, driveability and looks of their Golf GTI, yet need to retain all of the day to day usability that makes the standard car so fantastic.  Within Stage 1, there are options that allow you to retain the car’s full Volkswagen warranty.

► Stage 2 takes the Golf GTI to a very high level of performance, looks and individuality.  Intended for drivers who want high performance on the road and the confidence to take their car on track without sacrificing too much comfort on their daily commute.

► Stage 3, named the VWR 290R, provides the ultimate road legal Golf GTI.  With the majority of the parts employed on the 290R coming straight from the Volkswagen Racing race-spec GTI , this is a car with simply devastating performance on track, and the durability to match.  At this level of ability, there are inevitably compromises in the comfort on road, but without question the 290R is still appropriate for daily use.

Within each pack, you can select the chassis and powertrain packs separately, allowing you to upgrade your car in stages.
